The plumbing in the room is quite noisy and gives off a lingering smell, making the nights uncomfortable. Bathroom lighting is insufficient, and towel quality feels low. The lack of adequate storage for toiletries during showers is frustrating.

The hotel's book-filled ambiance and friendly staff made our stay feel special. We particularly enjoyed unwinding with a cocktail at the rooftop bar after a busy day exploring.

what a disaster! yes, the bed is beautiful, but the mattress is a disaster, sleep was nearly impossible! also, don’t even get me started on the kitchen—no pots or pans, who does that? after all that, they couldn't even be bothered to upgrade me. i almost thought about giving them a good review, but just couldn’t.

We loved the spacious rooms which had a unique, industrial charm. The friendly staff was always eager to assist and made our family feel welcome. Plus, the location was perfect, just a short walk to the vibrant V&A waterfront and local eateries.

One downside was that our kids wished there were more activities tailored for them.

I loved the captivating architecture and design of the hotel—it really felt unique and well thought-out. The breakfast was delicious and provided a great start to the day. However, the staff really need to improve their responsiveness as I felt ignored when I raised a concern during my stay.

We had a fantastic time exploring Cape Town! The hotel offered a unique vibe that made us feel at home, and we loved the comfortable space for our family—including our two dogs. Hiking nearby was a blast for our whole crew.
